I love the weather (although I can see myself becoming very bored with it). The community in which I live has a really good school district, which is a relief. I also like the parks around here. There are plenty of neighborhood green spaces to make up for the lack of acreage each home occupies (in Minnesota, people actually have YARDS instead of tiny little lots that are barely larger than the home's footprint.)

Hate the traffic, hate the palmetto bugs, and really hate how rude and self absorbed that 75% of the people I encounter are.

I would love a meetup at Bolsa (have not been there yet).

6. Southern California is really wierd

Some areas people are really rude; other areas people are really friendly. I don't understand it a bit.

Do you own a home? Have you considered native landscaping? :D

8. I would like to do something different to our landscaping

We have grass, poodle trees, bushes trimmed like boxes, and such. I do want to plant a dwarf palm varietal in back (we have a largish bare space in our "backyard"). Right now, the money will not allow for any landscaping. I do like the idea of letting the desert reclaim our yard, via planting succulents and cacti.
