Could someone like Pat Buchanan or Pat Robertson be convinced to make another one of their quixotic runs at the WH and split the wingnut vote?

I imagine no mainstream Repub would dare run against Boy George lest they be savaged like McCain was in 2000.

Is there anyone else? Smirky is playing to the extreme base so thoroughly that there may be no sufficiently rabid dissenting voice.
