Anyone else making Christmas gifts?
I am embroidering some items, and crocheting some others. I like to give homemade gifts and have always gotten good reactions. The bonus is, it's a lot cheaper than buying everything! All my bought items are finished - now I just have to finish up the craft projects.

Anyone else like to make things for family and friends?

Yes
I always get crafty @ Xmas. I am knitting a scarf that I will then edge with needle tatting. I will make some perfume and I already have a tatted doily done. :)

2. My husband's nephew is extremely hard to shop for..
So I always make him a couple of sweatshirts with wildlife designs on them. I buy the printed panels at the fabric store, and then "quilt" them and then sew them onto a sweatshirt. They turn out great and he loves them. He doesn't even bring any shirts with him when they travel back here because he knows he's going to get some from Aunt Youthere.
I'm crocheting some of those fuzzy scarves for my husband's niece, and also a really cool little purse for her.
I make new pajamas every year for my kids, and then I crochet them matching slippers-but those aren't really a "gift". It's a tradition in our house to wear new pajamas to bed on Christmas Eve or else "santa won't come". I make the jammies and slippers ever year and it's a big deal for them to get ready for bed and see their new pajamas that night.
