I didn't exactly give the mini-speech I'd planned on giving but, when I got to class, I did sort an informal survey of the class to find out who was registered to vote, who was actually voting, and then asked who among them actually understood what the marriage amendment is about. One of the women in class had it totally backwards and though that voting FOR the marriage amendment would keep everything just as it is, which is the complete opposite of how it really is. I explained how it works and why everyone should vote against it and I THINK I may have changed a few Yes votes to NO votes.
Now I'll just sit here biting my nails and going nuts tomorrow until I find out which way the vote goes :crazy:
