Last week I posted about signing on to work the polls on Election Day. Saturday I got my paperwork, informing me of being selected as NVC (Neighborhood Voting Center) Director for the General Election November 7! My assigned polling place is home to 2 precincts.

It's kind of cool seeing my name as "Director", lol. I am now going to pad my resume with this tidbit o' community service.

Training is Thursday, and I will pick up the supplies on Sunday. Included will be instructions on picking up and delivering an early voting machine.
If you have thought about volunteering (and your locality allows you to do so without surrendering a DNA sample, 2 pints of blood, your firstborn, and 3 skin grafts), do it!
