So I finally watched the Project Runway finale - Uli was screwed!!
She had the best collection, I thought it all worked together and not only did she do her signature prints but she also did non-prints to boot. I would have bought every one of those outfits and I've never lived anywhere near a trendy beach resort like Miami.

I was simply not impressed with what Jeffrey had done although he had a few great pieces. Perhaps he was just this amazing story of a guy who drug himself out of the gutter of drug abuse to comeback and win this contest.

I was actually not suprised with what Michael put out. I think that his collection better represented his style than anything he put together during the show. Michael has this R&B/Hip-Hop urban flare to him and I think he toned it back because he wanted to do what it would take to get to the finale even if ultimately he would put out what best represents him as oppose to what he felt the judges would want.

I absolutely loved Laura's collection - she's going to have an amazing career. The detailing on her dresses were all outstanding and I'm glad she designed what she knew best instead of trying to change herself into what the judges wanted to see from her!

1. Even I could tell that Uli's was the best
I think they only brought her to the final because she won the last contest.

They aren't supposed to but I think they judged on the body of work over the whole competition. It was always between Jeff and Michael (IMHO) as they were clearly the best two (Jeff won 3 events or something like that).

3. Uli was way more consistent than Jeffery, though
She was never in the bottom two -- or even the "lower half," she was never rude to a customer. and had much more consistency throughout the season. And, her Fashion Week line was VERY good -- as was Laura's.

UL should have won. She also should have won several weeks, too.

4. Jeffrey only won two events and was the only one of the final four
to be at the bottom several times before the field was narrowed down (I mean, towards the end it was much harder to not be in the bottom two when there was like 5-6 people to choose from).

The only time Uli was in the bottom 2 was with the INC outfit and then it wasn't even her design

I thought Uli's was the best -- not a bad outfit in the lot. When that green dress came down the runway, you could feel the audience respond. I thought Jeffrey's had two outfits that were just out and out bad -- the rest was okay but didn't knock my socks off. Poor Michael -- too much of his stuff looked cheap and a bit tacky. I know what his intention/inspiration was, but there was a fine line between 70s sexy and corner hooker. He missed the line. Laura's pieces were fucking exquisite -- her stuff is classic and, as the judges said, you could pull them from your closet in 20 years and they would still work. That greyish dress with the green belt was just a knock-out. I can see her line at high end stores for sure.

Another thing that really bothered me with Jeffrey winning -- he already had a line of clothing that he was successful at. I don't think he needed the $100,000 -- Uli could have benefited from that money much more. :(

6. Yes, but the exposure alone will be a great benefit to her
The judges had even mentioned that people were asking how to get a "Uli". She's got an amazing career - all four of them!
