A Christmas Eve Rant
Starting last week, I should have realized that the Holidays were going to be a nightmare. But I had hopes...

During a cold snap here in Florida (lows were in the lower 30's) our furnace went out. Took our landlord 3 days to get it repaired. Immediately following that, while we were planning our Xmas dinner shopping...our refrigerator broke down. The landlord sent a repairman, who told us it would take well over a week to replace it. Well, we got on our landlords' case and she promised us a new one on Xmas Eve. Guess what? It came. So they removed the old one, and...the new one is 1/2 inch too wide for the slot it's supposed to fit. They can't take it back so now it's sitting in the middle of our kitchen. We called our landlord and she said there's nothing she can do about it until after the holidays. A cabinet overhang has to be trimmed by 1 inch in order for the thing to fit properly. Where are you gonna find a carpenter willing to work on Xmas Eve? Bleh

So...it's too late for our traditional turkey dinner, looks like we'll be eating frozen crap. No big deal, there are plenty of folks out there much worse off. But I am very annoyed. :(

2. I sorry things are not going well, but I'm sure you will laugh about
this all later.
Merry Christmas anyway.
Peace
