1. Pasta first, by a mile. Then taters.
Pasta is more versatile than any other starch. Rice is just, well, rice.

6. I voted for rice,
just 'cause that is what we're having - Jazmine, with chicken curry.

Really depends what you are having with.

21. Depends on what it's being served with
Pasta is only with some type of sauce, as I'm gluten free and brown rice pasta is pretty unappetizing with just butter or olive oil.

I love rice, especially brown rice and this blend: http://www.lundberg.com/products/rice_og_wildblend.shtml

I don't eat a lot of potatoes, but for a treat I'll make roast garlic and rosemary potatoes, if I'm broiling chicken or lamb.

Most of the time, however, I have salad and other veggies rather than starches.

I probably use couscous the least, but it's still very wonderful and yummy in the right recipes.

31. My heritage is Irish
so of course I vote for potatos. The problem is that my daughter is from China, so we wind up eating more rice and noodles because they are comfort food for her. There are times when I think if I see another grain of rice, I'll scream. :wow:

But pasta is a close second.

I make au gratin potatoes with Black Diamond white cheddar that are to die for.
