Poll question: If somebody held a meetup Thankgiving weekend, would you go?
I want to figure out if I set up a meetup if enough people could show to be worth the trouble.

Here you won't get a beer with me just because I live 6,000 miles away, I have a boyfriend and you don't drink, as if those were good reasons. I'm pretty sure that means you don't like me. x(

Of course, I'm on the far other side of the country though. :(

12. A trip out west is definitely on my list.
:)

But it's after I buy a computer/computer repair and take a long delayed visit to Montreal. :(

I will get to travel at some point to meet my DU friends.

13. I would love to!
But I have to work the Friday after Thanksgiving, so I probably wouldn't be able to drive all the way up to Sac. :(

But if you come down to LA to visit CAPeggy, let me know!

If we get to do that, I'll let everybody know what day we'll be down.

16. I'd love to but could only do it if it were local to me.
Mrs. V. and I are already both traveling to our home states in Nov. I really need to get to another meet-up, though.

:hi:

28. Hey, he can ride the ATV with my son...believe me, my guy will be learning
safe operation. I've been drilling it into him for years (about bicycle riding) that when you are screwed up for the rest of your life with a brain injury, it's too late to say "I should have worn my helmet."

(But, of course, does DAD wear a helmet while bicycling, even after having been hit by cars three times? Nooo...of course not.)

29. Oh, I meant the bigger boy.
The one who'll be 35, not the 5 year old. :D

Yeah, my son gets the helmet speech too. I got in a bike accident without one once, and I know it could have been a lot uglier than it was.

couldn't resist.

I'm doing the photography for your wedding, and you can't tell me no.

reply to a post like this?

Good thing I gave up on trying to figure people out a LONG time ago, or I'd go nuts.

23. It wasn't hostile, just random.
Some troll was posting random crap on DU this morning, was quickly tombstoned and all posts wiped.

Of course, I wouldn't try figuring out why someone would waste time posting jibberish.

30. Oh, not wasting time, just curious. Such an innocuous thread is hardly
trollbait. But it seems they'll invade even baitless threads, since the wankers have such sorry excuses for what would pass for a life, were it lived by a normal person...
