My Kittens Are Out Of Danger But I Think They Are NUTS!
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 08:43 AM by Binka
Last June I found two wretched creatures in a box by the side of the road. I would guess they were around 4 weeks old then but it was hard to tell because they were in horrific shape. I didn't think they would live but I had to bring them home. We named them Dottie & Onslow and Peyton was their nurse. She has been a miracle worker now the problem is I think they are NUTS. Nurse Peyton likes to push them in strollers and THEY LIKE IT!

You can't see in these pictures but Onslow has a heart on one side of his body and Mickey Mouse ears on the other. He really is beautiful, Dottie, well she has a great personality!

1. They're beautiful!
And so lucky they have you and Peyton.

My sheltie loved to be pulled around in a wagon in the summer and on a toboggan in the winter. They're not nuts, just smart. Let their loyal subjects do all the work.

:hi: Peyton!

17. I got one in a similar situation
About 15 years ago, I was on my way home from work. I saw some "trash" being blown around in the street, then realized it was a KITTEN! I got out of my car (not so easy when it's a major intersection) & ran back to get it. Fortunately all the other drivers realized what I was doing & stopped because she was right under a car when I nabbed her. ::phew:: The vet said she was no more than 4 weeks old (her ears were still folded over a bit) & she was the scrawniest little cat with the weirdest looking fur I'd ever seen--all long & stringy, not soft like it usually is. Well, here she is now in all her glory (she's the one on the top of the sofa):

Congrats on your kitties! :hi:

14. Hey You! Long Time No See
Been a rough couple of months here, when my sister passed on it really rocked my world. We were only 13 months apart and she was ALWAYS there. Just a big blow. Peyton and I went to San Diego for the memorial last month. It was a beautiful tribute to a child of the sea. We poured her ashes into the Pacific Ocean. The same ocean she and I learned to surf in circa 1974. :hi:

10. I've rescued kittens that age before and they acted more like
actual babies than kittens in the fact that they loved being held and babied and would let me do anything with them without complaint. These kittens have obviously formed a close bond with Peyton.

11. Dottie Lets Peyton Dress Her Up In Dolls Clothes
I never had a cat before much less two kittens but they are doing great. Peyton loves them very very much. I am so happy they lived and are now thriving.

16. Thanks For The Link Bertha!
My family was very NON PETS when I was growing up. My mother was a clean freak and would not tolerate the mess pets would make. These two are just a beautiful addition to our world. I am sorry I missed animals as a child because Peyton just adores these critters.

19. Peyton Is Amazing With Animals
When we lived in the Middle East she would scoop crabs into her hand and they would just crawl on her. Butterfly's land on her arm and just stay there. She is Dr. Doolittle!
