My li'l guy reads like a champ
My seven-year-old is sitting next to me reading out loud from his Magic Treehouse book. I'm feeling that swell of Mama Pride.

4. When I was a little boy . . .
My dad was a fireman, so he was gone three nights a week, sleeping at the station. At bed time, my mom would yell out words for me to spell before we went to sleep. It really helped and I have grown up to be a pretty good speller.

Your son is lucky. :)

5. Hey, my seven-yr-old son just started reading them too!
Last year he was so behind in his reading skills that he had to attend special classes. This year he's reading a chapter a night before bed. Isn't it the cutest, most amazing thing?
