18. Y'know...this is actually kinda weird in a way...

...that a bright and talented kid of 2006 should be so appreciative of a 40-year old band...and it should be regarded as so natural. Believe me--similar kids in 1966 were *not* particularly appreciative of Al Jolson or Rudy Vallee... We always hear that things are changing faster all the time--but it really isn't true...culturally, we're still very much in the same milieu, if you will, that developed and hardened in the 60s and 70s...thus endeth the history lesson... ...

19. I like Isaac Hayes' cover of that song

better than the Beatles version. Now hear me out: I just think that Hayes' reinterpretation of it as a soul love anthem just puts George Harrison to shame. It's like he's showing George how a love ballad is really done.

On edit: I just realized that George Harrison is my avatar. Yikes!
