The player is a girl. She is a kicker and a cute blonde. Nice story from a nearby high school in s.w. PA.

She wore her football uniform instead of a gown while being presented. No time to change, they said.

4. Same thing happened at my high school in 2000 ...

she was a kicker and she was the first girl to make a winning field goal in California high school history.

She was also the homecoming queen. It was visually dissonant to see two football players standing on the podium holding bouquets of flowers at halftime as king and queen.

She went on to the University of California on a track scholarship.
