I received many fine, sweet regards of the day for my 50th birthday Wednesday. But Buddhamama took the time to send me a lovely, personal message on the side as well. It isn't the first time she's displayed such kindnesses to Polly and me, either, and I (we) love her for it.
I will always be at her service.

14. Funny you mention the "festivities"

The big party is tomorrow night. Saturday is the only night when old friends who live outside of town or work the second shift can realistically make it. And, for the soiree tomorrow night, I have a tee shirt from some faraway bar I've never actually been to which reads on the back "Detox begins tomorrow."
Seems appropriate. We'll all hoist one for you, of course.
