You gotta love Helen Mirren
Not only has she played Queen Elizabeth I,

but Queen Elizabeth II as well

http://www.thequeen-movie.com/

She's pretty much the only actress alive who can pull off this feat

2. What is stunning
is how much she resembles both women; they looked nothing alike. She is a remarkable actress.

5. Yeah, but can she pull of the trifecta?
A movie about Queen Victoria would rock.

6. She is absolutely fantastic
Flawless performances, I can't wait to see the QEI and II movies... I hope HBO has the QEI out soon.

I like even so-so movies because of her - like "Calendar Girls".

12. alright! thanks, sarge43 - will have to check it out
I haven't strolled thru a movie store or checked online for movies in ages. I should; I keep saying I'll sign up for Netflix but don't. I go thru movie viewing binges and then don't watch anything for months...

15. Well, I've been with Netflix for a year now
and have nothing but good things to say about it. It's the movie freak's best friend. And a great selection of documentaries, too.

BTW, for all of you history drama types, if you haven't yet, check out HBO's Rome. :wow:

13. I've seen it in the video shop
Attention! It's in two parts(in the shop, at least), so make sure you get them in the right order.

11. Nope, she owns it!
She's the only other female actor that makes Meryl Streep look like a wannabe.

16. She is a remarkable actor
One reason I don't watch Hollywood films is that they don't contain enough good roles for women, especially 'older' actors (I hesitate with the word actress) who have chops.

There are many wonderful female actors - while they may not be able to pull off those two particular roles (stricly because of visuals), there are some who could pull off very demanding roles. You'll have to look across the pond for about 99% of them.
