1. Great timely quote from Mort Sahl:
"Liberals feel unworthy of their possessions. Conservatives feel they deserve everything they've stolen."

2. The original Dennis Miller.
Dennis Miller, in fact, is a total Mort Sahl rip-off, down to the phase of right-wing partisanship. I think Sahl was pro-Nixon, oddly enough, possibly until Watergate.

He doesn't think much of him.

7. LOL. Didn't see your post till after I posted mine
I guess the idea of Miller as Sahl-lite is pretty obvious.

3. I know who he is
but I'm not exactly a kid, despite by nickname.

I even own one of his records (literally on vinyl) -- the New Frontier. Haven't listened to it in a long time, though. Might have to do so.

Didn't know he was still alive!

5. Cool. Thanks for the heads-up
We get it at 7:30 pm around here, on WAMC. I haven't heard Sahl in years. He's the comic that Dennis Miller thinks he is but could never, ever be.

The following is one of my favorite Sahl quotes. The names have changed over the years but the point is still valid:
"There were four million people in the Colonies and we had Jefferson and Franklin. Now we have over 200 million and the two top guys are Cheney and Bush. What can you draw from this? Darwin was wrong!"
