Finally calmed myself down, 6 cop cars and ambulance by the school
this morning, right after my granddaughter had walked through the intersection with the crossing guard. I turned around and suddenly there were 3 deputies, one town cop, one neighboring town cop and one in a regular car in plain clothes with his badge around his neck at the intersection. Then the rescue squad appeared. They used no sirens and no town siren had gone off for the squad. They stayed out just a few minutes..running around talking to each other then they all left.

Luckily my son had gotten home from work and heard on the scanner that they were looking for a teenager. She'd come from the neighboring town to the elementary school and gotten on one of the buses going back to the High School. Her parent's were called and she's been taken to Juvi.

God, the thoughts that go through one's head at times like that.

2. ahhhh..exhale..thanks wildhorses
I needed the hug. My immediate first thought was the man across the street from the school..he's a Nam vet, PTSD really bad. They've had problems with him before but never brought that many cops. Then the thoughts went to the school and that something awful might be wrong there.

Now I'm wondering if the poor girl was trying to hurt herself..why else would they have an ambulance with them. There's been a lot of teens attempting suicide in our area lately. :(
