Thank God for FOOTBALL!
I just wanted to take a bit of time out from the doom and gloom of current events and thank God for the sport of football.

I was just sitting here watching the Bengals edging out the champion Steelers and thinking about how upset I was at the TV earlier this morning when the likes of Chris Wallace, Brit Hume and Bill Frist were causing me a coronary and putting my TV set in very real danger of receiving my size ten Nike.

But now, I am calm and watching a great football game on what looks to be a normal, beautiful football day in Pittsburgh and, if it weren't for the fact that I can also peruse DU while I watch, it would be the perfect escape.

You know, maybe I'll just do that. I'm going to thank God for football by spending the next three hours watching it, with my computer turned OFF!

GO SEAHAWKS!

26. Yorkies are the best! Sammy weighs 6.5 lbs and is the sweetest,
very mellow. My husband just bought me a little Yorkie male. He's 7 wks and a little terror  cute as a button, though. He chases Sammy around, won't leave her alone. I am hoping she will adjust to him.

33. Winston is suppose to be 6 lbs when fully grown, he's 1.5
lbs right now. :yoiks: How much do your yorkies weigh? How many do you have? One can never have too many yorkies, imo. :-)

35. Aww, all yorkies are cuddly! My Sammy was a rescue. She came to
us when she was 5 mos. Her "parents" didn't want her anymore because they couldn't house train her. They were ready to take her to the shelter, all 3lbs of her. They made her sleep in her pet carrier and she was covered from head to tail in sores! Imagine that? Within one week, I had her house trained, she is so smart! You have lots of yorkie love! Have you ever visited this site? www.unitedyorkierescue.org

31. Not if they don't play better than they did today.
I'm happy they won but they played some sloppy football. How many penalties? They were damn lucky they pulled it out.

24. I understand why you are sad about that game, but
I have to say, Big Ben is not, and has not, been that good of a quarterback. He can manage a game, and usually does not make many mistakes, but he is definitely not a top tier quarterback.

better luck next time!

:hi:

btw, I'm a Cowboys fan, so you understand! full disclosure and all.....
