1. Some native San Francisco area people I know
seem to say 'swimmeeng' or 'ski'eeng', with or without the g. I never noticed that pronunciation before living here in northern California. Do you hear this in a certain region of the U.S.?

2. I hear a similar thing daily from a guy from South Dakota, a woman from
Wisconsin, and a woman from Oregon.

"Working" becomes "workeen," "drinking" becomes "drinkeen," and so on.

3. It depends on my length of time south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Most of the time these days 'ing' comes out sounding like 'in' cause I've returned to my Southern Roots.

10. i watched that Andy docu last night, and i think it is time...
to retire Ken Burns, or Rick Burns or whomever from our national documentarian filmmaker registry; if that was 'the big burns', then he should have been made to stop after the civil war = baseball sucked = jazz sucked = something else sucked i am sure; and i've seen all 'the kind Andy' in that piece elsewhere cept this time more pedestrian as though that lent a sense of gravity to a subject in many regards lighter than air oh well

i will nevertheless watch the second part cause i still love me some Andy

11. Depends entirely...
.. on the word it's attached to. Could be "ing" or could be "in" :)

Feeleens, notheen more than feeleens,
Tryeen to forget my feeleens of love.
Teardrops rolleen down on my face,
Tryeen to forget my feeleens of love.

Feeleens, for all my life I'll feel it.
I wish I've never met you, girl;
You'll never come again.

Feeleens, wo-o-o feeleens,
Wo-o-o, feel you again in my arms.

Feeleens, feeleens

Have you again in my heart.
