I have not been around as much as I usually am, for a couple of reasons. Since it is the silly season (or the absurd season, as WillPitt said), I've been in GD quite a bit more lately (and yes, I can take care of myself quite well over there). And, thank the maker, I have had more work to do lately. Hope y'all are doing well, and that the Naughty Girls are up to snuff!

it was a good thread, and in good humor I thought...some took it to seriously, and I do understand the OP's intent. I was shocked to see a thread, so jovial/humorous as this in GD...its a change of pace, when most everything is taken so seriously. And, the items brought up in the OP I have seen get flamed numerous times, and every single issue brought up in the thread, I have seen flamed a LOT.....its interesting, knowing that others on the site, can see some of the craziness that gets tossed around.

Things are getting mighty nasty in GD, and while I understand the frustration of people, I do not understand the need to beat the tar out of someone who has a different POV than someone else does. I do like NASCAR, btw, but I 'm not out to convert people. Same with my other views. I just don't like being told what I SHOULD think and what I SHOULD feel. Fer chrissakes. I'm an adult, with a good mind, and I can make my own decisions. And I don't need someone telling me that I'm full of shit because I don't think the same way they do.

and I share the same view about Guns, and a few other issues that were said in thread...:) But, with DU, you take the good, with the bad...and IMO, the Good outweighs the bad, but at times, the bad can sure seem to be pulling even...:) BTW, I got an awesome Seahawk hat last week, I'm so juiced, I haven't had a Seachicken hat in years!...:)

I had to take the loss with a strong chin...it was bad...talking about the bad calls and what not, reminds me of the OU/Oregon game this past saturday...you have to take the bad with the good. I know the Hawks messed up on some cruicial plays, but having those borderline/questionable calls was akin to taking the wind out of their sails, and was disheartning...

But, a new season...hawks are 2-0...I'm pretty confident they will make it to the playoffs, and this sunday will be a test for them...the Giants are coming to town...:)

But having said that, I hate wins where there are legitimate questions about the ref's calls. I prefer a clean win.

that much better either...but the calls were questionable, especially the kick off one, but with the pictures I have seen, its hard to tell if the ball was in fact 10yds out, or not...I have only seen a more front/side look, and not just a plain view from the side...

The pass interference one I think was justified, albiet I dn't know how the ncaa rules are on pass interference...but the OU defender was impeding the progress of the reciever, tipped ball, or not...

on edit: to change interception, to pass interference.

43. I actually did not see the end of the game.

I had to leave and do something, then stopped in at a local casino. Was getting something to eat when the TV showed the college football scores. When I saw that Oregon had won, I almost fell out of my chair, because it was 30-20, with less than 3 minutes left, when I had to leave the house. I've seen the footage on TV and agree with you -- one call was questionable, but I don't think the other one was.
