Is anyone watching the Steve Irwin memorial service on Animal Planet?
Gawd. Bindi just read something about her Daddy....

I'm just listening to it, but that's bad enough. The SO is out there crying.

1. I watched it...
And when his dad got up, I just lost it even worse.

8. The SO, too
I was like, Why are you watching this right before bed???"

Terri and Bindi Irwin will be giving Ba-ba Walters an interview. My mom said she thinks it'll be on next Wednesday.

4. I just got through watching it.
Bindi had amazing composure and I couldn't get over how well she read her statement.
Obviously an incredibly bright child. No wonder Steve was so proud of her.

9. I know, wasn't that something? What poise
for a child her age at any time, let alone at her dad's memorial. I think she'll become something great.

6. Saw it.
Overall it was an upbeat service, and I think this is what Steve would have wanted. Afterward, I still had those twinges of denial and disbelief, he's really dead?

10. Thank you so much for that link. I broke down and bawled.
What a unique person and what a fun and funny and sad memorial.

Very well done.

11. I never really watched Steve Irwin much, but, somehow his sudden demise...
Has affected me quite deeply.

I don't know... Occasionally, the mortal world catches up with me.

When there's people in the world like Irwin it makes everything seem
like it might turn out... It's better.

Then when something like his accident happen it takes a little out
of me.
