OK DU nutritionists - talk to me about...
Glucosamine
MSM
Chondroitin
Shark Cartilage

I know this stuff is for joints, but does any of it really work?

3. My wife takes Glucosamine for her spondylosis
It seems to give her some relief but nothing dramatic. In fact, I'd say her water aerobics class has done more good than the supplements.

4. They're building blocks for cartilage
It's like the equivalent of protein for muscles.

A steady intake of the above mentioned will keep your cartilage healthy and happy. Chondtroitin is thought to be connected to water retension/ lubrication, and inhibition of destructive enzymes.

5. building blocks for cartilage
your joints can be a weak link. Painful. Grinding. Sore. Take glucosamine and chondroitin. Shark cartilage is unnecessary.

They will help build up cartilage and shore the joint up for other activities -work outs etc. Eases pain. They take some dedication though. You won't notice results right away, but you definitely will after a month or so.

6. About a year ago I was having alot of trouble with my joints.
I bead and it was getting to the point if I could hardly bead for an hour at a time. I started taking Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin and SAME. In about 3-4 months I was about 90% better. It worked for me.

7. It absolutely works and is prescribed by joint physicians now
It is expensive and one needs to be on it over time but it does make a difference in degenerative joint disease, especially the knees.

9. I have found they work
I have taken Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM for the last four months for a shoulder problem and have noticed a big improvement. Not nearly as much pain as before. I don't think I would bother with shark cartlidge.

Good luck....
