my grandpa gave me his old 4 string plectrum banjo that he hasn't played for years and it's miserably out of tune...
does anyone know of any sites that offer sound files to help me tune this thing?

I had no idea what a banjo was tuned to, but I knew it wasn't those.
But according to the link offered below, it's tuned the same as a violin! That's cool. Maybe I should get me a banjo!
