Am I allowed to like Burt Bacharach even though I'm str8?

We had dinner with friends who happen to play for the other team... and we got on the subject of music.

When it went on to songwriters, I mentioned that I thought Burt Bacharach is a genius (he is) and I put him alongside Antonio Carlos Jobim and others.

They agreed, but said there was no way I could like Bacharach if I weren't gay...this makes no sense to me. someone please explain.

15. He was on the finale of "American Idol" in May, and it was

the best part of the 2-hour show. Thirty years ago, EVERYONE liked Burt Bacharach.
