What amazes me is how some really beautiful ladies don't even think that they are beautiful ..God I can't tell you how extra Beautiful it makes them!At least to me.

Some of the most beautiful women I have ever met (to me, and here I'm trying to talk about just outward beauty -- physical looks -- though it's pretty much impossible to always separate that from the inner beauty that infuses and informs what we see...just as inner 'ugly' can make a model-type look just awful to us no matter how flawless) have seemed insecure about their looks, to an extent. I've more than once heard that such women have a hard time getting dates (or, at least, dates with any but sleazeballs), presumably because many decent men are too intimidated by these women's appearance to come up and pop the question. And some other gorgeous women I have met -- and, again, I mean beauty in the sense that they could probably be on a Cosmo cover and both men and women would agree that they look very attractive -- are very down-to-earth and not only don't play up their looks but make fun of it all...and that is tremendously appealing.

Physicality's always the least of it, though -- it plays a part, for sure, but just a part and I'm sure that for many of us there is a lot of leeway all across the board in terms of what is physically attractive (height, weight, hair color, eye color, skin color, facial features, body modifications, cup size, and whatever other variables). In truth, all of the women I have known who were good people were beautiful -- no matter their body type, age, or anything else -- and I've met some pretty women who were ugly souls, indeed.

Yeah. I agree with the premise of the song.

Funny. In my job I often meet mothers and daughters when the daughters are flawlessly beautiful young women, just perfect (teens or 20s), but it's the mother that invariably just seems most beautiful to me...not just because she may be closer to my age (or even a fair bit older), either. Let's hear it for 'older' women, and I put 'older' in quote marks because they may or may not be older than you and I are now (I always had a thing for women in their 30s or older when I was a younger dude, though now I'm already older than some of what used to be my 'older women' age group and so now it's all a paradise of 30-and-plus-somethings no matter what chronoloigical age relative to my own) but they are older, in calendar years, than what the media still holds up as ideal. Then again, many of the biggest female stars, models, and today's 'sex-symbols' are women in their mid to late 30s or 40s, really. Masny are women our age or older. I like that.
