Heartless asshats who are fine with the death of American soldiers, because they're stuck in this senseless war. I feel bad for everyone who died in this war. American and Iraqi. I don't know how anybody can call themselves an American and not care about the lives of American soldiers, regardless of the legality of this fucking conflict.

| 1. I totally agree with you wholeheartedly. |

I have never understood why people can act normal when there is a war going on, as if it doesn't affect them.
I have never understood why people act as if those people who were killed in the Iraq War had it coming to them somehow, simply because they volunteered to serve in the military.
That blows my mind.
Three years ago I was talking to the receptionist/secretary for my dentist, and after I mentioned that over 500 American soldiers had been killed in the Iraq War - she said, "yeah, so what, that many people are killed in this state every year in car accidents."
As if, somehow, that meant something.

"sympathic" person can tell me that they deserve whatever comes to them.
Any troop committing torturing an innocent Iraqi should be held fully accountable, but most of them are innocent people stuck in this shitty war. One of my friends should have been coming home in a week for good, but now he's stuck there until at least January and it's his second tour. The guy's even more liberal than I am and I'm really fucking liberal.

are the people who think that like, x life is more important than y. I remember this one thread in GD where someone said that killing every person in Japan would be justified if it saved one american marines life. Every time i hear about Canadian soldiers that die in Afghanistan, I feel sad, but I also wish I was hearing about the other casualties of war, which are usually sadder, if not just by sheer volume than by their total lack of involvement.
This isn't a judgment on YOU in any way, just a general peeve.

| 5. Personally, I feel all their lives are equal. |

If we weren't involved with this needless shit, then there would many thousands of people still alive on both sides. The person in particular that's pissing me off basically says that any American soldier killed had it coming to them because they didn't go AWOL.
