Walking along the beach at 6:45 am is oh so peaceful.

That's what I did this morning. I spent 4 days in North Myrtle Beach,SC. I could not sleep this morning so I just put on my flip flops and walked along the beach. I wish I had my camera but I have a picture in my head. But yesterday the waves were high and I saw a mackerel! I was like " Oh snap !" There must have been a storm way out because I also saw something that looked like baby sharks or baby fish as I was walking through the water. I was almost caught by a crab before my cousin saw it right beside my foot. The highlight was when my cousin's baby got his first dip in the ocean - he is six weeks old and ummmm he does not like the ocean. But he did look cute in his baby speedos ! LOL - I had no idea that they made baby speedos. I looked cute in my bathing suit too - sorry no pics

2. That was my favorite part of my visit to Myrtle Beach, too!

Mr. MorningGlow and I went with his boss and his wife several years ago and it turned out not to be one of my favorite places in the world by a long shot--except one morning DH woke up with a migraine, so I went out and got him some aspirin, then, to give him some peace and quiet, went for a walk on the beach. Lovely!

3. The only part I don't like ... is all of the hotels bunched up together.

I like going to beach areas where you can ride down a long stretch and see the ocean. There are so many hotels that are still being contructed in that area that the only thing you can do is buy a house to have a full view. I was walking along the beach to look for shells. I did find a baby shell with both parts still together but I through it back in the ocean so it can continue to grow.

4. 'Zactly--I'm not into a place that's got Tourist Row

And we were in the thick of the bunched-up hotels.

Of course, the boss and wife did drag us to the worst restaurants, worst places to stroll, and that infernal Christmas revue (and it was October...) at that strange place that has three extravaganzas going each night. Can't remember the name of it. Don't want to, either.

5. I did'nt go to that strange place either.

I was'nt in the mood. I only needed the ocean and that was it.
