I'm having some BV Coastal Estates Private Reserve 2002 Merlot.

It's pretty tasty.

8. Guinness is good too.
Personally, I prefer Smithwick's though, with some fresh ground black pepper on top. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Getting chilly here in the Pacific Northwest, once the sun sets. (I learned last year that apple juice is much cheaper than cider, available all year round, and not as rich-tasting so you can drink more of it ...)

It's a very local California wine made from a blend of Livermore/Castro Valley and Lodi grapes.
We buy it at the winery -- it's quite tasty too.
