Sex Ed Changing At School That Had 65 Pregnant Teens
CANTON, Ohio -- The Canton school board is expanding sex education following the revelation that 13 percent of Timken High School's female students were pregnant last year.

There were 490 female students at Timken High School in 2005, and 65 were pregnant, NewsChannel5 reported.

The new program promotes abstinence but also will teach students who decide to have sex how to do so responsibly, bringing the city school district's health curriculum in line with national standards.

The board made the changes in a vote at its regular meeting yesterday.

2. Duh. "Abstinence only" doesn't work.
How many kids need to get pregnant or become infected with STDs/HIV before the fools realize that? :dunce:

3. 65 pregnancies!? 13% pregnancy rate!?
Jesus! I don't think even my HS alma mater could pull that off and they're still teaching horny catholic school kids that babies come from Jesus and birth control causes depression and spiritual emptiness.
