Do you ever feel like just dropping everything and just bailing?

God, I'm so sick of everything, and I just want to run off somewhere and start over. Do you ever feel this way? I mean, I love my husband, and I'd take him with me, but it would take a lot of talking to get him to come along, I think. Do you ever think about this?

I dont' know if it's ever gotten better the times I've left, but it always gets different, lol. I like a change, and I've been here 3.5 years which is about a record for me. Some people are stayers. I'm a leaver. Different strokes for different folks.

5. Oh, hell yeah

Especially lately. The thing is, the problems wouldn't go away. They'd either follow me or be waiting for me when I came back. And if you're gonna have to fight something, best to do it in familiar territory.

Home field advantage and all that.

But...hell yeah. Sometimes I just wanna run as fast and far as I can.

8. i remember when i used to wake up with enthusiasm

now i am nonplussed that my dreams were merely just that: dreams, and that i have another day of feckless reality with which to deal.

the transition from the dreamstate to a waking state is really a let down, because most of my dreams take place in transit facilities: el platforms; bus stations; train platforms; airports; 1920s suburbs commuter rail stations.

i'm always leaving and it is right at the last minute.

then i wake up and i am in this hell.

9. I did just that

There was an external component, in that immigration regulations did compel me to finally leave the place where I was, anyway, but I walked away from my marriage (rightly so) and -- for now, at least -- my career. It was the marriage thing that, really, brought it all about, though I was already somewhat burned out on aspects of my career, anyway. That's how I ended up here in Las Vegas. I ran away to join the circus, kind of. Yep: ran away to Vegas...everybody comes here sooner or later. :-)

As with any move toward an unknown future (the future's never known, but usually we don't feel that truth as keenly), it was both scary and exciting. I've had some close calls with oblivion since but I've weathered them and this break -- however long the hiatus turns out to be -- was just what I needed. Sometimes you've just got to do the less rational thing...

I very well might have faked my death by now were it not for the pain it'd cause my family. Been intrigued with that idea ever since I first read Huckleberry Finn.

I've spent 12 years in Ohio trying to make a life that just doesn't seem to be working out. If this was "meant to be", surely it wouldn't be this hard. It's not that I don't like a challenge, I just don't like getting knocked down over and over and over... But it's sad when I realize I really have nowhere to go. :(

I Know it's over for me here. I'm done.

I just finally heard from the ex right now and she was talking about the gf ignoring her birthday and skipping it and I was like, are you crazy, GET OUT. Well, I told her, either you two go to a counselor and sit down and work it out, or stop wasting your time and get the eff out. Stop wasting time. That's in regards to her, not you just thinking out loud about something I was grappling with earlier.

I feel like I am on zero right now. One of the wisest things anyone ever told me was to 'put one foot in front of the other and if you hit a brick wall for God's sake turn left or right'.
