Kitty cat advice
I'm calling the vet first thing tomorrow morning, but I'm a mother who worries, so...

Our barely one-year-old kitty has some little scabby sores in front of her ears -- you know, where the fur is thin. After we brought her home last year in September, she "blossomed" with ringworm, but this is different.

She's messing with them, but not crazily so. Her ears look decently clean.

Any ideas?

3. Does she appear to be scratching them?
wiggling sideways to get her head on the ground? Does she go out or have contact with other cats/dogs?

4. She's an indoor kitty
The SO noticed her scratching at them and her ears tonight... but her ears seem too clean for ear mites.

5. Cats can get yeast infections in their ears.
And skin allergies, and actually a host of other little problems. Mites are only one variation of the annoyance they can suffer.

Most are not dangerous and can be easily treated, but I'm glad to hear your taking her to the vet tomorrow. I'd hate for it to be something serious and go undiagnosed.

7. Yep
my 2 year old just is getting over a yeast infection. Same symptoms, scabby patches at the front of his ears, shaking his head and scratching. No big deal, just need to wash his ears daily.
