Japanese Man Calls Information 37,760 Times just to hear a friendly voice

Japanese daily Mainichi Shimbun reports (via New Zealand's Independent Online) that Tokyo police have arrested a 44 year-old man for making 37,760 calls -- without speaking -- to Nippon Telegraph and Telephone operators.

"When I made a complaint call once, the operator dealt with it very kindly, so I wanted to hear these women's voices," He told Hiroshima police.
