Elizabeth Hasselback is a nut job....
and who the hell decided that she should be on a talk show? What were her credentials, other than she's got pretty blond hair? That person ought to be fired. At least Star Jones had a personality, albeit an annoying one.

Her comments on Plan B were idiotic, ill informed and nonsensical.

That twit needs to buy a brain before she opens her mouth again.

3. I think so too. I think that Lisa Loeb had a
relatively conservative viewpoint about it, at least compared to mine. But Hasselbeck acts like a pundit or something...there seems to be no emotion in her arguments, just talking points. I argue in the style she does, though, so I would have gotten fired if Barbara had started in on me like she did on Hasselbeck. In my view the problem is people like Walters, not Hasselbeck, just speaking about that episode. I think centrism is dead. I do think that what happened on there was humiliating for Hasselbeck and may harm her career, though I really don't understand Walter's take on it. There is an episode of Rosie and Hasselbeck being on there from last year where Rosie just bowls over her and Hannity both; I can't WAIT til Rosie gets on that show.

I kind of feel sorry for Hassebeck because she's one of the few conservative pundits that is ever exposed to an opposing view.

4. I would have no problem with her conservative point of view
if it made sense. If they want an opposing view, they need to get somebody who has the ability to have an intelligent debate.

5. she makes sense sometimes, but she flies all over the place.
like her sudden segue into "if you want the government out of your life then why do you want universal health care?" Everyone just looked at her like "huh?".

I am trying to find the video of her and Rosie debating with Hannity in the middle, because I can relate to that kind of argument alot more. Rosie is very quick on the draw and passionate, as is Elizabeth...I detest the angle Barbara was coming from, because I don't understand being that far removed emotionally from something so important. I don't care if Hasselbeck spews green vomit really, as long as Joy behar or Rosie is there to spew it back and point out the holes in her arguments. Damn, I hate that I'm having trouble finding that link.

Rosie handles this so well, I never watch this show but I might start when Rosie comes on there.

10. gee thanks.
I will now throw up forever. I hadn't seen that until now.

I don't want to hear it from Hasselbeck...why the hell is she not pregnant. If she's around 25 she should have at least 7 kids by now. She either needs to pop them out or shut up about all this pro-life crap.

11. The best part was her temper tantrum when Barbara
told her to "calm down"---did you see her rip her notes in half? She also was in the process of getting up out of her chair when they went to commercial break. I was sooooo hoping she was going to quit the show in anger, but no such luck....

14. She gets hysterical!
Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 04:27 PM by mvd
I guess that's a consequence of a right winger consistently having to defend their selfish and ignorant beliefs. She'll probably storm off like Novak did when Rosie REALLY gets her. She might even quit.

My mom saw Lisa Loeb yesterday, and told me she was big on personal choice. They were discussing the morning after-pill. She had a great viewpoint, but maybe her line of thinking extended into today. Don't worry - she's with us.

16. Lisa said she didn't want to see it used as birth control.
That's what I meant by leaning conservative. I'm just sensitive about that right now. I feel like if it's on the market, I go to the drug store, ask for it, the good zombie pharmacist hands it to me obediently with a smile on his face, I pay for it, go home and use it any damn way I choose to. Whatever happened to capitalism...shouldn't these companies WANT people to use it as birth control so they can make a killing off of it?
