I'm baking brownies.
So I'm stirring in all the ingredients called for and I'm stirring and stirring and stirring... and the lumps don't seem to be coming out.

So I looked at the box.
Turns out there are mini chocolate chips in the batter...

How was I to know?

7. LOL!
My sister put some o' that into some brownies she made for my parents many years ago. Dad was normally grumpy after work ... but not that day!

9. My stepsister baked cookies for everyone at X-Mas
She mixed up the bag for the family with one of the bags for her friends. They were pot-leaf & candy cane shaped. My stepdad was just like, "Are they special? If they're not, just get them off the platter before your grandparents get here."

Unfortunately, they only had the pot leaf shape.

5. Are they baking now?
Probably the flavor on the box gives a clue about the chocolate chips. But who cares? Just shove some through that modem when they're done. :9

8. Want some ice cream too?
Can't eat a nice warm brownie without a scoop of ice cream. :)

11. Yes, please.
And hot fudge and whipped cream, if you have it. Oh, and would it be too much trouble to put a cherry on top? Thanks! :hide:

10. Isn't it a little hot to be baking today?
It's about 100+ here today, and draining as all hell.

12. I'm in AZ and it's always too hot here to bake.
But I do it anyway! :)
And well... the AC is on, and brownies bake fairly fast. I do wish I'd been able to get them in the oven earlier in the day but I had some necessary errands to do.

13. Ah!
It's a DRY heat, after all!

After the last couple of days here, I'm almost ready to move back to the L.A. area.

Ummmmm...no I'm not! But 102 with 72% humidity is clearly over the top!

When it gets dark and "slightly" cooler, brownies sounds like a good thought. It's too damned hot to eat much anyway.
