Okay. I guess technically I'm not always a lurker because I do post often, but there are many nights when I just read what others have had to say and add nothing because I think they have it covered or I just don't have much to say at the time (because I am already tired sometimes by the time I get online.)

And over in GD, for the most part, I am definitely a lurker. I have never seen so many deleted posts as I have in the past few weeks. All someone has to say is the word "Israel" nowadays and *poof*, it's 80,000 degrees in the thread. I'm at a loss. I did want to write an editorial about my views on that issue and ask people to just read it and think about it, but I can't really expect them to do that, now can I? I mean, the National Weather Service has already issued a heat advisory for my area for this entire week. Damned if I'll voluntarily turn that kind of heat on.

Hi there. Long time lurker here (since shortly after the 2000 election). I don't post because I mostly lurk at work. Just wanted to say hi .... there are probably a lot of us.

Yeah ... I know. I used to lurk more often than I do now. Six years of mostly bad news with a few glimmers of hope now and then that just get dashed in the end (hard to take). I don't read the news as often as I used to either.
