3. true story
when the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was creating Sesame Street, they modelled the Cookie Monster after me. They just covered him in blue fur to protect my identity.

:hi:

I'd love a cookie!

(have you tried the Archway rasberry filled?)

7. MissMillie, you may absolutely have a cookie.
But would you - and I must stress, you will get your cookie whether you assent to this or not - treat me to a chorus of your signature song, "C is for Cookie?"

10. my pleasure
Now what starts with the letter "C"?
"Cookie" starts with "C"!
Let's think of other things that starts with "C"!
Uh. . .Uh. . . Who cares about da other things?!

"C" is for Cookie that's good enough for me,
"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
Oh! cookie, cookie, cookie starts with "C"!

"C" is for Cookie that's good enough for me,
"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
Oh! cookie, cookie, cookie starts with "C"!

Hey, You know what? A round cookie with one bite out of it looks like a "C"
A round donut with one bite out of it also looks like a "C" but it is not as good as a cookie
Oh, and the moon sometimes looks like a "C" but you can't eat that
So...

"C" is for Cookie that's good enough for me,
"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
Oh! cookie, cookie, cookie starts with "C"!"C" is for Cookie that's good enough for me,

"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
"C" is for cookie that's good enough for me,
Oh! cookie, cookie, cookie starts with "C"!

Cookie Cookie Cookie Starts with "C"
Cookie Cookie Cookie Starts with "C"

If I may don the "authority figure" cap for a moment, I hereby grant you full dispensation to eat that black and white cookie, free of guilt. Someone who leaves one of those around is a dumbass, and dumbasses don't deserve cookies.

28. Must be a cookie kind of day
Edited on Wed Jul-26-06 02:17 PM by MorningGlow
I trashed my diet by having a giant squishy homemade chocolate-chocolate chip-raspberry cookie from this place for lunch:

O'Bagelo's: Soup Philosopher John Vito serves up great bagels, sandwiches, and soups. Plus, you get daily quotes from history's greatest philosophers and the area's best collection of Dr. Seuss books to boot (165 State Street, 232-9070).

(Sorry--no photo--the review is from our local alternative newspaper.)

One of the most unique places to eat in Rochester, NY...and yet it's going down the tubes because its success is tied to Kodak's, which is one block away. And we all know how well Kodak is doing these days... :eyes:

On edit: The owner, while more good-natured than the Soup Nazi, will...um...URGE you to place your order as quickly as possible. And they have a Magic 8-Ball on the counter to quiz while your lunch is being made.

31. It rocks
It has SO much personality--yes, there really are Dr. Seuss books on the shelves for your dining/reading pleasure, plus newspapers scattered around because they WANT you to do the crosswords, a quote of the day on the blackboard, and Stewart's Creme Soda (or root beer) in the cooler. And a (nonfunctioning) toilet in the corner, which you can use as a seat if it's crowded.

Yeah, it's a shame it might not survive, even though there's a concerted effort to make that area of downtown "hip"--the "hipness" is too manufactured (and is too focused on nightlife, while O'Bagelo's closes after lunch). Besides, O'Bagelo's is more cool than anything the chamber of commerce can manufacture. Sigh. All the good independent places are dying off...and yet we get so many more Bruegger's...

I'm surprised they didn't demand organic cookies home-baked by the long-suffering indie-underclass of Olympia, WA, each glazed with Calvin Johnson's... I'd better stop.
