It was 20 years ago when the Cabbage Patch Doll craze started



I was reading a magazine that had some historical anniversaries in it and it mentioned the Cabbage Patch Doll craze was back in 1983.

I remember how nuts people were going to buy the doll. In fact there was a lady at our church that ended up with a black eye when she got a hold of a Cabbage Patch Doll at a local store and someone punched her in the eye and stole the doll and this lady was leaving the store.

As with all crazes - next year there was an overrun of Cabbage Patch Dolls everyone.

Anyone else remember the Cabbage Patch Doll craze???

3. I was living in Atlanta then and remember the "adoption hospital"

in North Georgia..... I look at those folks now, like I do the beanie bag folks... To each his own, I guess.
