1. Thanks to DVDs and DVR, I try to make all of them commercial free
Yeah, I dont want to waste my time watching advertisements.

3. tcm here as well and lots of stuff on Comcast on-demand, the free stuff
which is most of it, right now they have a whole bunch or shark week stuff available, also episodes of Monk and Adult swim.

5. Why, BBC1...
of course. And BBC 2, 3 and 4, BBC News 24...all commercial free. Of course, we have to pay a TV license every year, so there is a trade off

OK, they're music channels, but still, I can turn the set off and just have the music in the house commercial-free.

9. TCM, hands down.
Thank the television gods for Turner Classic Movies...which actually shows classic movies (unlike another cable channel with "Classic" in its name, which does have commercials and now basically shows shitty movies)

1 is far too mainstream and "popular" stuff (i.e., 'reality shows'), whereas I watch Newsnight about half of the time along with some other stuff on there. :hi:

Yet, I pay for basic cable along with my cable broadband. It's a security thing with me. Just in case....
