Saw Ray Davies last night in Bay Area

outdoors at the Saratoga Mountain Winery. Beautiful setting. Full amped up band backing him up, unlike Storyteller.

Started out he set with the most moving and electrifying version of
"I'm not like anybody else." Ended with "Low Budget"
Full version of "Till the end of the day" Dedicated acoutrsic cversion of "a long way from home" to his brother. Lots from his new solo album "Other People's lives;" not a masterpiece, but 3 or 4 tracks demonstrrate that he is still a genius for melody. There was so much love at that ampitheatre that people were crying at the end, sad that he was leaving.
