Great
it is 20 min to 1am here. I am tired. I should be sleeping. But it is too hot to fall asleep.

What should I do?

1. oooohh...I hate that!
Um...do you have a fan that can at least keep the air moving? I have a ceiling fan that helps a lot.

2. No fan
window is wide open though. Some fresh breeze comes in. But the temps in my apt are in the still lower 80s

3. Hmmm...
...I wish I could help. I know how frustrating that is. Thank GOODNESS for central air conditioning and ceiling fans.

4. I am not a big fan of fans actually
I can't sleep underneath them either because it gets too cold and "windy" for me then ... :eyes:

I am not easily satisfied :P

5. You can turn them to a slower speed, you know!
:P

I keep my a/c at 79F. If I didn't have fans going, I'd do nothing but sweat. Damn, it's hot outside. When I turned on my car, the thermometer said 100F. x(

13. Some days I wonder why I live here still.

Interestingly, I've been driving a rental car - a convertible!! I've been driving home with the top down in this heat! :wow:

Nah...heat is all relative. You're allowed to complain. Without fans and a/c I'd be complaining in the 80s, too.

15. Well the wind makes it barbale for you
I would guess (or are you crawling it the convertible?) :)

It is hot for Germany and the heat wave is going on since the World Cup started. No cooling down in between. And in Frankfurt where I live it is humid also. Heat + Humidity - A/C = sweating day and night

16. My drive home is relatively short.
The wind does help a lot. I have to admit I really like the convertible during the morning. It's very nice out. I could drive with the top up and the a/c on, but where's the fun in that?

Hot and humid without a/c would be unbearable. I hope you can make it through ok. You're still visiting the US, right?
