The hell with Saddam-what did everyone make for Sunday dinner?
I am making stuffed boneless turkey breast. The stuffing is made with apple sausage, garlic, onion, walnuts and golden raisins. I roll the turkey breast up and tie it. The sauce will be with pan drippings, chicken broth, brandy, dried cranberries and butter.

No mashed potatoes but I have the ingredients for a nice salad and pureed cauliflower (with sour cream, butter, and gorgonzola).

And I'm continuing with my Xmas baking.

:P

6. Macaronni's & Gravy...
Very happy that the tyrant is captured. That said, a family must eat. Marrinara sauce with all the trimmings (beef, Italian sausage, veal). To be served over rigatonni and gnochhi. Heaven to Betsy - life is grand...

Haven't really done anything but a very little bit of snow shoveling. I had an avocado and sharp cheddar sandwich. It was good but not the ideal choice for a cold day.

They make very good frozen pizza. Not as good as fresh pizza from my favorite NY style pizzeria down the road, but it is right tasty for a frozen pizza.

28. Mac & Cheese, and maybe the world's best popcorn later.
My "recipe" makes the best popcorn.

Pour some popcorn in a paper lunch bag. Cover the bottom of the bag with about two "layers" of kernels. Fold the top of the bag over 2-3 times -- secure with whatever little folding trick you know but for obvious reasons don't use staples or paper clips.

Put the bag in the microwave on its side (not standing up). Start at 3 minutes and listen carefully. Most of us know now how to tell when to stop microwave popcorn. This method takes a little longer but it's worth it. Just don't let it scorch.

Pour the popped corn into a glass or metal bowl, pour melted butter over it, toss, sprinkle w/ seasoned salt, toss & taste, use more seasoned salt if necessary, toss, etc.

The very best popcorn! Way better than ready-prepped-for-microwave popcorn.

Nothing fancy. Just ground beef, beans, tomato sauce and cheese. Of course, I put a heapin' helpin' of Blair's Death Sauce in my serving.

Oh, and corn bread.

42. Turkey & Dumplings
or as my husband calls them, "turkle & dumples." And persimmon cookies. Lots and lots of persimmon cookies. I made 12 dozen this weekend and 12 dozen last weekend and have enough persimmons to make probably 48 more dozen. People just keep bringing me their persimmons -- you think they're trying to tell me something? B-) ;-)

My mother used to make chicken and dumplings and I have made turkey breast in the oven, but how do you make turkey and dumplings? My favorite way of making dumplings is when they steam on top of a pot of simmering gravy.:9
