Check in if you don't like bacon
So I can put you on ignore.
If you dislike bacon, your opinions can't possibly be worth listening to.

3. I like bacon, I just don't like the lingering smell of it left behind in
the kitchen. :hi: When it first cooks it makes my tummy rumble... five hours later the stale smell of it makes me nauseated.

lots of onion.

13. Always save the grease/drippin's (in a coffee tin on the back of the
stove)for all frying needs. Also makes for a tasty spread on biscuits and cornbread.

7. I love bacon.
But just by itself in the morning with lots of salt and maybe a touch of syrup that escaped from the pancakes.

But nothing ruins a perfectly good hamburger like bacon.

14. He knows where the belly rubs come from
That pig is a total attention whore. At one point he had four women rubbing his tummy and he was just making the funniest little grunts of contementment. He'd not eat the source of the lovins.

Anyhow, he's veg. :D

20. once while biking through the Wisconsin countryside
I saw some animals on the road. They didn't look like dogs. As I got closer I could tell they were pigs, and said to myself "gross, they're pigs". One of them started chasing me up the hill. It was like he heard what I said. Fortunately I outran him.

I did alot of hiking in the Siegwald in Deutschland. Heard some animals rustling in the bushes a couple times. There were hunting stands all over the wald. On my last morning I asked the innkeeper what was hunted, and he said "wild pigs!!" Yikes! I was glad I never ran into any.

15. It depends on what you mean by "like bacon."
I'm a pig, so I like my bacon so long as it remains attached to the rest of my body.

16. you are talking about Kevin, right?
because that other, fried pig stuff is disgusting and totally unhealthy. I had a vegetarian friend who was outraged about a local bar that seemed to put bacon bits on everything, or maybe just every salad. She said that 'bacon is about the worst thing you can eat'. I thought it was hilarious when I went to work at that bar and found out their bacon bits were bacon-flavored soy.

One thing about taste. It is not a decision. I never decided to not like bacon. Like I ate some and said to myself 'mmm, this tastes great, but I'm not going to like it, just to pi$$ off Canadians'.

23. Bacon is awesome, so long as there's no meat in it.

2 slices has 45 calories, 6 g/protien and 2g/fat (not saturated, either). Amino acid score, 121.

2 slices of the "real" stuff has 82 calories, 6g/protien and 6g/fat (2g saturated). Amino acid score, 120.

And yes, the Light Life "faux" bacon tastes excellent!

Bacon, in all its manifestations, is wonderous. It may be the only food that tastes good in a recipie with Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, Peanut Butter and Cantelope.....
