BWAHA!! My cat's a moran!
Edited on Fri Jun-30-06 08:57 PM by ZombieNixon

We often play a game I call "Catch the Hand." Namely, I wave my hand around his head and he bats at it and tries to stuff it in his mouth (I've got a couple of scars from these ventures). Well, just now he missed and stuck his own paw in his mouth and bit it. Then...he hissed at me, because it's obviously my fault he's uncoordinated. :eyes:

1. My dear ZombieNixon!
Well, of course he hissed at you!

I mean, after all, it was your fault that he wasn't able to put your hand in his mouth!

Bwahahahaha!

That must have been too damn funny to see!

5. I do here.
If I were still in Chicago I'd probably be doing something more entertaining (from a human perspective at least). :P

3. Cat games are the best.
Edited on Fri Jun-30-06 09:13 PM by ocelot
We have "Drop Your Toy On Your Human At 3:00 A.M. And Squeal Loudly Until She Throws It For You To Fetch 100 Times," "Guess What The Human Is Doing In The Bathroom," and "Launch Yourself At The Human's Torso And Make Her Catch You." These are all excellent ways for the cats to display their grace, skill, athletic prowess, and annoyingness.

4. My brother is writing a best selling book for cat people
It will be 20 chapters. All will be thus:
Day 1. Open door. Let cat out. Close door. Open door. Let cat in. Open door. Let cat out. Close door. Open door. Let cat in. Open door. Let cat out. Close door. Open door. Let cat in.

Day 2. Open door. Let cat out. Close door. Open door. Let cat in. Open door. Let cat out. Close door. Open door. Let cat in. Open door. Let cat out. Close door. Open door. Let cat in.

Well, I think you get the drift. He thinks it will be a best seller. I agree.

8. Ooh, those are good ones!
Around here we play "trip the human as they try to go downstairs", or "Wait at the bottom of the stairs until human is one step from the top, then run up, turn around, sit down and silently say Beat ya!"

11. mine play "Determining pecking order and alpha catness as the
humans are falling asleep" quite often.

Cat town races occur regularly

One of mine specializes in "assistance with getting dressed every a.m." with a special subsection of "tongue scrubbing the shower floor".

13. I taught my cat to shake hands
er paws... whatever... for a treat.
But Noooooooo that's not good enough for him. He stands there holding his paw out and if I don't notice him he starts pushing on my hand like I was a pez dispenser. And if he doesn't get one, he adds a claw. And if that doesn't work he knocks the jar with the treats in it off the table.

17. Are they morons or smarter than we think
Some how the get us to feed them, play with them, and just generally keep them in good heath all on their own terms! Unlike dogs who play by our rules, cats have us playing by theirs.
