I miss Christopher Reeve
:(

I saw the new Superman film at a screening last week and it just was not the same. Call me nostalgic, call me anything you want, but in my mind, Superman is Christopher Reeve. No matter what. I still cannot believe the tragic circumstances that took him away. He was a hero. I only wish that his memory can assist those who suffer daily from things that could be helped or even cured by Stem Cell research.

1. It was a big mistake trying to tie this Superman to Chris Reeve's version
The biggest turn off for me is the fact taht they brought Marlon Brando back from the dead for the "dad talks to me thru these crystals" scenes. They should've gone in their own direction, retold the story from teh basics like last year's Batman movie--or the Smallville show. If it's too dirivative, it won't ever seem fresh, no matter how hard you try. Remember the late 1990s scene by scene remake of Psycho? Honestly, what was the point of that?
