I am sad. Not sure why he died, but he did. He was one of the people responding after Katrina. He was a sweet gentle kind caring guy and I am sad. RIP Dwayne. Lesson of today, keep in touch with out of state friends better. Also, have good role models.

1. Sorry for your loss
Anyone who helped with Katrina has my respect.

Is there a mutual friend you have still that you can talk about him with? He had a very warm face.

2. Yes and thanks. There is a group of us, wanted to pass it on here too.
He was a very sweet generalist. Got me in and out of New Orleans for my 51st birthday present in Sept.

6. Thank you. He reminded me that we have differences but are together
he had 5 kids, Mormon family. I have 1, hippy family. But we can all work and live and be together in this world and struggles.

Dwayne looks like he would be a wonderful friend and a loving person. I hope the good memories you have of his life will help ease your sadness .

7. Thank you. He was a quiet person, giving solidity to the group
as chaos reigned and hysterics were easily found, he was a quietly watching and centering person.

8. Thanks bigwillq, and thanks for the hug
I know there is nothing to have been done earlier, but I really hate it when a friend dies and people forget to tell others about it. It happened with a 75 yr old friend yrs back and now again. Guess it happens when you know people other places. But still, he will be missed.
