Sick thread on AOL regarding The View
For some odd reason AOL's welcome screen has been featuring Star Jones all day. I don't keep up on any of this drama and had no idea that Rosie O'Donnell was joining The View.

I clicked onto their blog out of idle curiousity and got an eyeful - it's like they opened up the gates at freeperville and they all came flocking to this thread. These people just can't be real. Here are a few choice quotes:

I'am only dissappoint, because this would have been a good chance for Star to show off the Jesus in her. I'm also a christian and love when you speak as a disciple of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We know what controversy may have arise so you should have buckle up and use your sword (bible), and defend any weapon that is form against you. I will no longer watch the view, because it is
something I would not enjoy. I did not watch The Rosie O'Donnell show, so therefore I want. I will go back to watching Bob Barker!!!!

Love You, because we share the same father. (Jesus)

Why the heck would anyone hire Rosie? She couldn't even hold down her own talk show, let alone the View. When she tried to be an Oprah wannabe with a magazine.....it failed....and let's not talk about her broadway show. Rosie is bad luck. How dare she cast stones about Star's weightloss. Rosie hid the fact that she was a lesbian for years (as if no one could tell)! ...and who can understand her...ROSIE....practice speaking in an manner that everyone can understand...ANNOUNCIATE!

And as far as Rosie is concerned, Read your Bible and find out why God destroyed Sodem and Gomora. ( Adam & Eve not Rosie & Rene )

I'm so glad that this beautiful African-American woman left those white bitches. They deserve Rosie as he/she white bitch/dyke/want to be man. They all deserve each other. Great move Star!

with rosie on the show the ratings will go rock bottom she is a loud mouth bitch, a hipocrit and i wouldn't waste the sweat off my scrotum to give her a drink if she were dying of thirst

This is what happens when women get together, they need the leadership, and direction of men.

Women are not capable of being civil, they are filled with jealousy, envy, and tend to be very petty towards other women.

Add men to the show and discuss real issues, not weight loss, and looks

The homophobia and sexism in this thread is stunning...really stunning.

If you have an AOL account, you can find the sewer here:

8. Spend some time on AOL news boards
You'll get a sampling of just how filled with hatred and ignorance America is.

None of the above surprises me a bit. AOL caters to society's lowest common denominator.

14. Here are a couple more pearls of wisdom...
ROSIE IS A HATER SHE AND THAT TRASHING LIFE. SHE NEEDS TO FIX HER SHOW WHICH IS BORING. STAR WAS LOOKING GREAT AND ROSIE IS JUST HATING .ROSIE YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE I SEE YOU IN HONEY WE KILLING THE KIDS. AND AS FAR AS STAR SHE COULD DO BETTER SHE HAS ALOT TO FALL BACK ON WHAT DO YOU GOT ROSI A LESBO SHOW, I HATE YOU AND WHAT YOU DO IN YOUR LIFE YOU SHOULD HAVE DROWN IN THAT CRUISE SHIP. Irony alert on this one!

Rosie sucks she's or its .To face it talks out of it assss . Gun controw .But not for IT.No one should have one but her Sorry I mean IT. She I mean IT should go back under it's ROCK an stay there. With all the other HASBENS.That thing make's me SICK.Go away .HASBEN.

It is a sad day when a lesbian can come into a good situation and bring her views and demand and get a chritian off of a show. All of us who know the lord and believe in his goodness and mercy and blessings should not look at the view ever again.

Reagan saw the shining city on the hill (it was just a forest fire, but what did he know)
GHWB saw a thousand points of light..( bics at a rock concert maybe)

I am extremely tired of politicians and their visions.. we are trying to elect leaders..not medicine men

no more dumb asses.

but you listen to the conversation re: rosie and think about george in the white house -- frighteningly similar language skills.

that's part of what i mean by it sounds like america to me.

that and the hate displayed has become common place since reagan.

there was at least a brief time when that hate and ignorance was shamed into near silence.

.....(most of them anyway) claim to be Christian.

I guess they forgot about the golden rule........remember 'love they neighbor'? And love was only Jesus' main message!

25. hasben?
I assume they mean HAS BEENS........as in 'they used to be a star but are no longer a star'.

Then I guess that's where Star will be hanging out now......with the has-beens!

I just saw the report on Countdown about the current gossip on The View. Apparently, Star knew she was leaving because ABC was not renewing her contract and it had nothing to do with Rosie! Star made the mistake of surprising everyone with her announcement! They all knew she was leaving, they just didn't expect her to do it at that moment.

She screwed herself! At least she should have told someone what she was going to do......like maybe Barbara? Now it's like she was never there in the first place!

I never cared much for Rosie either but it had nothing to do with her sexual orientation. I just didn't care for the typical star-gossip kind of show. And I seldom watch The View either, unless someone is going to be on that I really want to see. I think I've watched that show maybe 3 times in the last couple of yrs. Once it was to see Stephen King and again to see Neil Diamond and I also saw Felicity Huffman on it too.

And these AOL neanderthals will be back too........when they see someone on it who will fill their need for celebrity gossip.

29. I'm shocked.....who are these people, I can't believe
they are from America!!

Time to re-think moving to Canada.

And we wonder what is wrong in America. Now I'm starting to think that Bush really was ELECTED!!

It makes me think of the line from the Exorcist; "did you have to take an ILLITERACY test to get that job." That always cracked me up!!

in one place for a long time, unless you count the boards at IMDB. They seem to attract the same sort, riddled with homophobia and an (related?) obsession with male genitalia.

That collection of postings is enough to make a spell-check and/or grammar-check program have a major meltdown.Yikes!

dissappoint (okay, maybe a typo, except it was also in a tense error.)

I think this one wins the award for best new word made up by an ultra-maroon (as Bugs Bunny would say)
ANNOUNCIATE :wtf:

hipocrit (Undoubtedly the correct spelling in the standard moran-issued "dickshunery".)

The ultimate "Christian" view of women is here, too: "This is what happens when women get together, they need the leadership, and direction of men." Yeah, like the collection of "men" typified by the rest of those postings. Uh-huh. Yup, surely they are leaders. :sarcasm:

22. AOL? No, thanks. You showed me enough, and I already...
hated AOL. Don't hate much, but I hate AOL and always delete all AOL connections on computer. When I was signed up with AOL a couple of years ago, would go to log off and AOL TOLD me they had updates and did I want to download now? I would click NO, but AOL didn't care and ALWAYS went right ahead and downloaded whatever it wanted, and yes they gave me a hard time when I called to cancel service. Stay away from AOL.

27. when I first got my computer, I had a free trial for AOL......
...and I used it for a couple of months and then canceled it.

On Countdown last week, Keith played a phone conversation of a guy trying to cancel his AOL account. Did you hear that? The customer told the AOL person that he wanted to cancel his account and AOL asked why. The guy told him he never uses it anymore. Then the AOL rep looked at his account and observed that the guy had used so many hours last month (I forget the exact number). And that was really a bad thing for the AOL guy to say because, at this point, he feels like the guy is calling him a liar. Then the guy says 'I just want to cancel my account' but still the AOL guys tries to do this and that to make him stay.

It was hillarious! I knew exactly what he was saying because it was the same way when I tried to cancel my account!

When I finally did cancel my account, I found a bunch of AOL stuff still on my computer! I went through each folder (one by one) until I found all of that crap and got rid of it for good!

Someone should tell that dork that Rene, with one "E" at the end, is generally a man's name.
