1. Ya Got Me!
the first time I heard it, I thought they said big fucking chicken and my jaw dropped

big "hucking", what is hucking anyway?

Personally I think Burger King owners have lost their minds with their ads over the last year.

8. That's what I thought at first.
But it's not.

Nothing against Gays, just a relatively objective observation, there's something a little "fond", if you know what I mean, about how they sing this commercial jinggle. I was wondering if it weren't soft-core porn, i.e f/hucking . . . .

7. I always thought that's what my late great cat did on the most expensive
persian carpets......it was always preceded by a portentious, gonna puke sound, that was a lot like "huuuuuuuuck....huuuuuuuuuuck!"

5. Is this a new ad campaign?
If it goes the route of "You bet your sweet ASSpercreme!" (which I thought was funny as hell, but then they changed it to "You bet if it's Aspercreme" which sucks) and "Jellin' like a felon" for those shoe inserts to "Jellin' like Magellan" which also sucks (what? Discrimination towards felons? Never could figure that one out....they sure ain't goin' anywhere, if they're felons!) they'll run it till people bitch, then pull it and have something similar (like Yee Haw chicken, still with the rodeo theme) to evoke the first branding run.

6. O.K. you're right. In the latest it is "hucking" which seems to be an
"extreme sports" term. They have succeeded in making people pay attention with the word sound similarity. I loved the Tender Bacon Cheddar Crisp Ranch (or whatever the name was) chicken sandwich ad with the singing cowboy and the tune from Big Rock Candy Mountain. A classic. We have it on tape even!

11. These ads are dumb
I didn't even remember it was BK till someone mentioned it upthread, but if the buckin', huckin' thing lodges the brand in the majority of people's brains for the wrong reason then it must be a winner. I'm just surprised the Repuke virtue police haven't managed to pull it yet.

12. "Hucking" vs. "Bucking"
Hucking

Hucking is a small hamlet and civil parish in the Maidstone District of Kent, England. The parish is governed by a parish meeting.

The settlement sits atop the North Downs in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) near the villages of Detling, Bedmonton and Wormshill and just off the main A249 road connecting the towns of Sittingbourne and Maidstone. The parish church is dedicated to St Margaret.

Bucking

No Wiki for this term yet, sorry.

15. If Hucking were an English shire instead of a village
...it'd be called Huckingshire. The postal abbreviation would then be HUCKS, similar to Buckinghamshire's BUCKS.

Sorry, I just love the Brits and their place names. :)

Flitwick, Slough, Ugley, Cirencester, Wisbech, Wellwyn Garden City, Worcester....Any non-Brit care to take a stab at how those are pronounced?

14. I think it's one of the stupidest commercials
around, and whether it sounds like them just getting away with saying it to avoid standards and practices, I don't really care. It's just an inane commercial at best, anyhow.
