I just met the most bizarre Republican
Voted for Gore and Kerry, respectively. Hasn't voted Republican except Ahhhhnold.

Pro-choice, pro-social services, pro-health care, anti-death penalty, anti-iraq war (pro-afghanistan tho...)

And yet he calls himself a Proud Republican...WTF!?!?!?!?!

1. I've met Conservatives
like that up here. (some of my family, for one - they just don't realize the Cons were hijacked by the Alliance/Reformers/Neocons)

2. He's in denial.
That's passive-agressive behavior. He wants to go with the flow, hence the "Proud Republican" :puke: moniker. However, he's a liberal Democrat who just won't acknowledge it.

Just as long as he votes for the Democratic Presidential candidate in '08.....

3. Just like the majority of the candidates that will be running

The dems will try to convince conservative voters that they're pro-war and anti-gay marriage while the pugs will be trying to convince liberal voters that they're pro-choice, want the troops back home, etc.

A real bible thumper too who used to steal from the company and once told me he wasn't ready to buy a home yet because he could only afford one that are in a black neighborhoods. I should have asked him why the great tax cuts weren't helping him but you can understand that you try to end a conversation with a person like that as soon as possible.
