Cat lovers - I need info.
We're thinking of getting a cat. Wanted a Ragdoll but one of us doesn't want to spend $675 or more for one. No children or other pets here - it would stay indoors and get plenty of attention. I'd prefer one that is no more than 3- 4 years old. Any suggestions, recommendations or other feedback?

2. Thanks
I had almost given up on the Ragdoll, but maybe if I take my time I can rescue one. I'm in the Tampa area.

3. I would also suggest
that you try the ASPCA/pound in your city. Yes, people do give up purebreds as well as regular non-purebreeds.

Another option is find a cat show in your area, and go and talk with some of the breeders. Most breeders have cats that they don't show and are considered "pet quality" only. They are always willing to find good homes for them. The "pet quality" cats are always less expensive than those used for shows and future breeding.

4. We do have an ASPCA
and that's a strong possibilty. The $675 and price I mentioned up was for a pet quality Ragdoll from a breeder in our area. I was a bit surprised at the price.
