tjwmason, can you identify this building for me?
We took this picture while on a double decker bus tour in London a few years ago, and we can't remember what the tour guide said this was. It's been plaguing me for lo these many years. Thanks!

3. It's the new City Hall.
Built to accomodate the Mayor of London and the Greater London Assembly.

Right opposite the Tower of London - with the hideous Victorian Tower Bridge between the two.

5. I haven't seen it in place.
I think that the design itself is very interesting, and ceteris paribus think it's a good building. I like modernist architecture - but think that it has to suit its surroundings. When in London, I'm normally further West so I have yet to see it in situ. Everything that I know about it suggests that I would like it.
